Being an expert sewer is not essential, as basic sewing skills will be taught. There are many ways to revamp an outfit without sewing at all!

I'm very passionate about creating opportunities for young people to develop their talents and follow their dreams. I'm excited to be running 'Revamped Fashion Workshops' in Hobart, and opening a doorway for young people who are interested in learning new skills, and are keen on entering the arts and the fashion industry. The basis of the workshops is teaching people how to ‘Revamp’ their wardrobes. It’s all about reconstructing their old clothes to create new, unique looks which have a high fashion edge.

The workshops aim to help students:

- Express their creativity.

- Learn how to sew, and reconstruct garments.

- Learn about how to make choices which support recycling and reducing waste in the environment.

- Produce items which could potentially lead into entrepreneurial enterprise.

I've just finished touring around the outback with Channel Ten’s ‘I Will Survive’ and have worked on many TV shows and movies and have designed national and international shows for Zen Zen Zo Physical Theatre. I've also worked on numerous music video shoots. As well as my experience in fashion, I have a Bachelor of Education degree and have ten years of teaching experience.

I'm launching this program in Sydney in November and already have bookings with high schools here and in Hobart. I would love to offer your students the opportunity to participate in these fun and dynamic workshops.
